I recently purchased an ASUS USB N-13 network adapter, but 1) my CD drive doesn't work, so I had to download and install everything online, which does seem to have worked -- and 2) apparently to get it to work/connect, you need to press this button on the USB N-13 device itself, AND on the router (i.e., for WiFi)... however, I got it mainly for when I don't necessarily have access to the router.

I have Kismac -- so I could utilize that to effectively use my new network adapter without router access, correct? How would I go about doing that? I'll probably need a thorough explanation, I'm not too experienced with Kismac (or USB network adapters). Alternatively, I guess my ASUS device can be used as an ethernet connection -- something like that, someway, somehow... What's the deal with that? Is there any hope for me there? I don't see how I could do anything with that. I wouldn't mind understanding how that works anyway though.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the help.
