I came here to see if I was the only one having problems with 15.3, and was not disappointed. Bugs in Safari, Finder, Mail, Time Machine, Sharing (Renaming Computer), random slowness, and iPhone mirroring. Two M4 Macbook Pros (48 GB M4 Pro & 64 GB M4 Max). Waiting for more bugs to drop.

MacOS Vista Sequoia is a disaster, well maybe not that bad...but still pretty bad.

.5 or .6 updates (these days) seem to be about when a generation gets it together. That may have trouble this time since Apple is in a regular rollout mode of A.I. features but I generally discourage adopting a new tier before about .5 or .6 (basically around WWDC time).
There are good reasons not to delay critical updates for security reasons.
... then again, you might be too quick upgrading something; example:
LibreOffice released 25.2.0 the other day;
subsequently took it back, declared it to be a pre-release
and advised to use a stable release 24.8.4 in stead.

About AI: I like to watch it grow from the sideline for a long long time.
;JOOP!
P.S.: 15.3 runs smooth here!

I’m running 15.3 on my Mac Studio M1 Max 64GB and it is running fine more me. Not saying you and others done have issues, I just do not. I do have Apple Intelligence turned off.

Yeah, I turned it off.

So far, so good after a couple of hours (with the exception of iPhone notifications).

I should note that 15.3 did fix the issue with Time Machine not completing backups, and the issue with Mirroring applies to notifications not appearing in MacOS notification center.

Indeed. If I go to "Browse Time Machine Backups" then it'll stop making new backups until I reboot. I have no idea where to even begin troubleshooting that one!

Does it work correctly for other people?
I dropped Time Machine long ago: I did not like the concept. But it worked fine before.

I Update always and use my MBA M2 24/7 for 100% HO and also Private with no Problems.
Also EU no Apple KI and i am very sure that most of the Problems are related to so called Tool Apps that are not Updated in Time as it was with all these firewall Apps causing trouble.

I had Packet loss in the Network because of UTM but it took me a while to find that and had to DeepSeek in my little Brain. That was Sonoma.
Just switched the Network in UTM and all was running again.

I would not blame it on Apple.

I haven't had any problems to speak of with sequoia on my M1 Pro or intel 2020 air, but on my M4 Max it has been a bit unstable.

If you have the LAST (most stable) upgrade of the prior OS, you also get the security updates when they are released for the newer one. Running 14.7.3 on Mac and 17.7.4 on iPad Mini with full "security" confidence.
Apple only confirms that they will provide all security updates to the current major version. In the past, Apple has ignored known vulnerabilities in security updates for previous major versions. So, if you’re really concerned about security, you must be on the current major OS version.

yes, i hear you, and agree TM ain't what that used to be!

last year
my mba 2010 needed a time machine of Mt Lion which worked perfectly.
my MBP 2012 also worked great on a spare ssd drive of Mojave
My MBAM1 refused a back up of Monterey from Sonoma as i needed to restore the laptop
same with the mac mini M1
i wont use time machine on any M chips, or really ever again
instead i will just drag the files and programs i need if things go wrong on my macs.

15.3 seems to be okay on my M1 Air. I've had a couple of instances of Safari weirdness, but that's not necessarily Sequoia's fault. Mail, Finder, and Time Machine seem to (still) work fine for me, but I don't use AI or iPhone Mirroring. I just upgraded last week, so it's still early, however.

No issues on my M1 Mini, but will be upgrading to an M4 MBA/MBP soon. Hopefully I'll avoid the bugginess you're experiencing on yours, OP.

Like vegetassj4 I was interested to see if I was the only one experiencing problems with macOS Sequoia 15.3?

Upgraded to a new Mac mini Pro M4 with Sequoia pre-installed.

I've found two bugs in my case.
1. Stage Manager - the shortcuts for the mouse, I reset the mission control button several times daily, application window button and the show desktop button, when I step away from the Mac and the Mac logs out to sleep, I have to reset it yet again!! Desktop & dock > mission control > shortcuts > keyboard & mouse shortcut to reset
buttons, on my Logitech mouse?
2. Safari extension - Add blockers should work no question, I tried a few different add blockers in Safari, thinking it may be the software, but any add blocker extension I try doesn't work?
I tried the exact same ad blocker in Firefox and Safari, Firefox it worked flawlessly, but in Safari it doesn't work at all!!

Is anyone else having similar problems?

1. may be a logitech issue...

2. 1blocker works here in safari. make sure your adblocker is selected in safari settings, and, if there's an app itself, that those settings are correct (1blocker, for example, has a separate application). and perhaps a reboot...

Both worked, thanks fisherking.
1. I've downloaded Logitech options+, but I had come to that conclusion that it might be a Logitech issue myself.

2. The adblocker is a new one on me, with settings, but I was using Monterey on a 2014 Mac mini, now on a 2024 mini, there is always new tricks to learn. I've gone with AdGuard as the adblocker.

I've had some issues with Sequoia along the way, too, but macOS 15.3.1 seems to have put my M1 MBP in a good place. Over the years, the every other point update seems to juuuuuust miss out on "that one fix" that worked in a beta or something but for some reason was omitted or missed in release. Then a week or 3 later there's another point.point update to fix that. And right now, for me at least, seems to be the "sweat spot".

I'm not currently having the issues you noted, but prior I was seeing lots of Finder issues where drives were taking way too long to mount and Safari seemingly just not responsive at all upon launch for what seems like 30-45 seconds until I can actually use it. But again, all seems well right now.
