Hello all,
I'm having serious problems with my Belkin N Wireless router,it's not properly recognising my Mac despite me being able to connect through it (looking at the status page right now it claims there are no devices connected).
I only discovered this when I got my xbox 360 back from shipping, and tried to connect it through my Mac, that alone took a hell of a lot of fiddling around with numbers, but I managed to get it working, almost.
It has one issue left, NAT reads as closed on my xbox all the time, despite my attempts to forward the necessary ports on both my modem and router, because bloody UPnP won't work with my Mac (presumably due to router not acknowledging it).
I've tried do set xbox as DMZ host to circumvent this, but I have such a tangle of network settings that trying to change it's static network IP to from 10.0.0.x to 192.168.2.x that the router will accept resulted in it being unable to obtain a connection at all.
Since I'm seriously fed up and don't have the knowledge to try and do more messy workaround hacks, does anybody know what I might be able to do get my Belkin router and Mac to play nice? Since that seems to be the root of my problem.
I haven't managed to find anything online about this yet, so I'm hoping somebody who reads this can help!
Thanks in advance!
BTW: Since somebody may ask, router firmware is up-to-date
