AT&T 1st Gen iPad 64GB WiFI + 3G refurb $429.99 (price error?)

The one around for a few weeks was the 529 version, the 429 version just came out, it is refurbished, which means someone bought it and returned it or something was wrong.

THESE are not refurbished by Apple, so there is no guarantee it will be perfect when you get it from AT&T (some people have mentioned that they got dented and damaged iPads from the refurbs....

I ordered one to try out.

90 Day warranty from AT&T & Remaining warranty from Apple (balance from when the iPad was first sold)

Hope this helps this is a great deal for someone who doesnt need iPad 2 (which is quite a bit)
 
i got one and its perfect

I received my 16gb + 3G and it was in perfect condition. Also there is no contract...you can cancel after the first month. I contacted AT&T directly and asked and they confirmed.

Its a great deal.

How do you know how much the remaining balance for the apple warranty?

Mine is finally being delivered today so I'll post back later on and let you know unless someone else beats me to the punch. I'm sure it won't be the original box though considering they don't do it with their refurbished phones.

I was going to order this morning...why do they have to run a credit check and ask for my SSN? I already have an account with them for my iPhones? Is an iPad signup different in some way?

They come in an AT&T refurb box. The unit I received was in absolutely perfect condition and the warranty is good through November (from Apple).
 
I got mine delivered yesterday. As the previous poster said, just the basic AT&T refurb box. Condition seems perfect, but 2 gripes.

1.) They included the 5W power adapter that is the same as the one that came with my iPhone4. Called and they said I'd have to send back the whole thing and order a new one (which are all out of stock now). I had to drive to a local AT&T store and after 15 minutes, the lady was kind enough to pull one from the iPad2 that was on display. Just a hassle due to their error.

2.) The 3G speed I think kinda sucks. I've run multiple speedtests (per the app) side by side with my iPhone4 (home, work, drive to work) and the iPad 3G speed is always much lower, especially the upload.

For example, just now, sitting side-by-side at my desk at work:

iPhone4: 167 ping, 4.06 DL/1.24 UL
iPad1 3G: 400 ping, 1.27 DL/0.06 UL

Is my 3G iPad defective? Or something else not set right? Thanks.
 
Finally received mine yesterday and it was in pristine condition. As stated before though, I received the same charger that's included with the iPhone 4. Not really a deal breaker for me so I'm cool with it. This will hold me over until they put the iPad 2s on clearance next year :D
 
I got the iPad 64GB WiFi + 3G for $529 brand new....The retail store price matched their web store.

Its gonna replace my 16GB WiFi model

This is correct however if I'm spending a few hundred dollars I would much rather spend more and get the latest tech.

I got my iPad 2 3G 16GB (which is the perfect model for me) for 275$ by selling my iPad 1.
