Just got my iPad 4g and the speeds are pretty disappointing. I'm thinking I should exchange it for a Verizon iPad.

Are the differences in the 4G networks that drastic? I see reports of 20+ Mbps on 4G. I'm nowhere near that, more like 2-3 Mbps.

Does it show LTE on top or just 4G?

Is the icon in the corner show 4G or LTE?

If it is 4G than that is only HSPA+. 2-3 Mbps on HSPA+ is the norm.

If it shows LTE, that is the crazy speeds you have been hearing about.

There is a huge difference between the two technologies and what they are capable of.

It shows 4G.

I think in my area (Orange County) the AT&T LTE coverage is pretty minimal.

I can exchange this for a Verizon iPad at the Appel store right? I was hoping for better speeds than this.
