AT&T 5s Cuts out on some calls...

Anyone have this happen ?

Few calls today every few seconds I would have a few seconds cut out where I could not hear the other person.

I had them count 1-20 and I would miss 4-9 type of thing.

I tested my phone's mic by doing several recordings so I am doubting it is a HW issue.

Just never had that happen before. I even tried resetting Network Info.


Anyway, since my phone is a Gold 32GB I am not really anxious to swap due to availability. Obviously I will have to if this keeps up.

Has anyone experienced this before ? AT&T having issues today with cell towers ?

Not sure if it would be the phones fault if you're getting bad signal and cuts out at a particular location.

Signal is 5 bars lte from good locations


Very weird. I've had phone for 2 weeks with no issues til today

Maybe it's the SIM card? Unlikely though. Just a thought.

When you're on an actual phone call though you're not using LTE.
It goes back down to 3G/4G.

Is this is the first time you are using ATT service?

There was a time I did not even know what dropped call was but ATT trained me on that. Funny thing is, ATT was the one who started marketing "Fewest Dropped Call" slogan despite they are the only one I ever had dropped call issue. Typical marketing!!!

Market a lot something that you know you suck at!!!

Same here. I had been with AT&T since the first iPhone came out but I gladly jumped ship to Verizon last year when the 5 was released and haven't looked back since.
