AT&T and IPhone Help

I made a stupid mistake by selling my IPhone this weekend expecting the IPhone 4 being available right away.

I have to mail it off tomorrow.

I am eligible for an upgrade now but dont want to buy the 3GS.

I want to keep my phone # also.

Do you think AT&T could just hold my acccount until the new phone comes out.?

Any suggestions.....other then calling me an idiot for selling before knowing the release date, Ive heard enough from my wife

All you gotta do is put your sim in another GSM phone and wait a few weeks till you can buy the new iphone.
You didnt cancell your account right? You just sold your phone. Your simcard is still active.

They will give u a new micro sim with the new iPhone.

Thats correct.
You dont send them your active simcard. You keep that obviously.
