I just spoke with AT&T's very nice customer service rep, Amy, about a non-iPhone related issue. At the end of the conversation, I asked her about the craziness that ensued yesterday, mentioning that I was lucky enough to reserve an iPhone at the Apple store. She told me that AT&T was issuing a press release later today in regards to the iPhone 4. After saying that, she mentioned that if I had any questions about my preorder afterwards that I could call either AT&T or Apple and they would be happy to assist me.
