Ok,

Recently moved to the South. Went from using comcast cable internet to AT&T DSL. Initially there wasn't a problem utilizing multiple computers on through the airport/TC. Now whenever I open my older macbook (11'') it screws up my wireless configuration... but usually I can reset the network up and it will work flawlessly with 2 iphones, ipad, and a newer macbook.

Well I opened my older mac the other day (dust of the cob webs and bring it back to life for some music applications) and my network went down again.

I restarted the modem, then router, the computer... nothing
I made the airport/TC reset to factory default and tried to set it all up again, nothing.

I can connect to the internet wired (ethernet) directly to the westell modem provided by AT&T. I can connect wirelessly to the airport/TC and share the internet connection as well - until i attempt to configure any things. I try and name the TC or set up the wireless (name, password, etc). Then it cuts out...

I have confirmed the DSL connection and modem are operating correctly. What settings do I need to make sure that;
1) I can connect wirelessly to the airport/TC for internet use
2) I can secure the wireless network
3) Mulitple people can access the connection and utilize it simulataniously.

I can't figure out why the set up is different over DSL, I've tried running the modem in bridge mode, PPPoE, etc with multiple configurations on the airport/TC

Now I just need it to work like normal again... Many thanks
