Last night I got an unexpected carrier update from AT&T. Today I noticed that my iPhone 12 Pro, for the first time ever, is getting 5G data.
I was afraid this might be a fluke, but a little googling indicates this is indeed by design. See:
Not surprisingly, this also means that AT&T is raising the price of the old Mobile Share Plans - $5/month for < 6 GB plans, and $10/month for >= 6 GB plans. The price increase goes into effect in August.
