I have always just kept my old iPhones (all purchased through Apple).
Now that I have iPhone 6, it finally dawned on me that I should have my old iPhones unlocked.

Does anyone know how to go about doing that?

Thanks in advance.

They have a website but they don't let you unlock for 14 days after you upgrade (which I find incredibly asinine). Basically, after you get a new iPhone you have to wait 2 weeks to sell your old one unlocked. VERY annoying.

(Probably doesn't apply directly to your situation but wanted to share.)

Thanks for the info. I found that out after I submitted my request and they send me an email saying I have to wait 14 days. It is very annoying.
