Carrier AT&T - How to tell if my 5S is Unlocked?

Hello,

I purchased my 5S from AT&T using the Next Program and paid it off before ordering the iPhone 6 Plus. I asked them to Unlock my device and got an e-mail saying they did. I am preparing the phone for re-sale and was wondering how do I tell if they did intact Unlock it? It's completely restored with no SIM Card but under settings it still lists AT&T as the carrier. All the videos and such deal with iOs7 and below, and they all don't seem to work.

You have to restore it via iTunes. At the end of the restore it will say, congratulations your iPhone is unlocked.

Put a T-Mobile SIM card in it.

There used to be some websites out there that you could put your IMEI number in and check the unlock status. I haven't used any in a long time to recommend one.

As the previous poster mentioned you can restore in iTunes and at the end of the process you get this screen which will also confirm it for you.
