I have an iPhone 4S and am planning on going to an Apple Store tomorrow to buy an iPhone 5.

I called AT&T and my early upgrade is not avaliable to October 15th and they would not budge on that.

Now the issue is I want my iPhone 4S unlocked since I wont be using it and want to sell it, problem is since I will be paying full price for iPhone 5 with no uption to upgrade to new contract they won't let me unlock my iPhone 4S

Has anyone else ran into this issue? Can I attach my iPhone 5 to the current contract instead of the iPhone 4S and get it unlocked?

Make no sense and is not fair if they dont let me do this, since im paying full price for iPhone 5.

Keep in mind that even you paying full price for the phone you still lock in a contract and both phones will be locked till your contract ends. If I was you and I had the money to pay full price, I would wait for the unlocked version. Good luck!
