AT&T iPhone Data Roaming OFF (Outside US): What Happens To Visual Voicemail?

Obviously we're NOT signing up for International Data packages and will just leave DATA ROAMING OFF to avoid any crazy charges.

What happens though when I'm outside the US? Visual Voicemail, Email, AppStore and all those stuff will simply be BLOCKED? How will I get to voicemail then?

I'm trying to avoid any unforeseen charges of course except the SMS and phone I may place. Am I missing something here?

Nothing that needs data will work unless your on wifi. Including VV.

Yes, you should be able to. It'll cost the same as any other roaming voice call.
