AT&T iPhone order.no old cell# porting??

Ok so I just ordered my iPhone 4 on AT&T site. I was soo frustrated with Apples that when I was going through my order with AT&T, I forgot to see if there was any way to port over your old verizon phone number. I don't recall there being any option for that but lm not sure. Can anyone confirm. How do I ensure that my old number gets ported over. Thanks
