A question for someone who travels with iPhone internet tethering:

I'm considering moving from a Sprint ExpressCard to iPhone tethering via Bluetooth.

I travel on trains and on the road a lot, so I'm continuously moving in and out of of 3G, EDGE, and not having a signal at all.

Does the tethering connection between computer and phone persist while I move in and out of the cellular signal (like my Sprint card), or do I have to reconnect from the Bluetooth menu each time I get disconnected from cellular?

Thanks for any advice!

I've tethered while commuting on a train. The connection between your iPhone and your computer will not be severed if/when your iPhone loses the cellular data connection and you will not need to keep re-connecting them.
