Carrier AT&T iPhone XS Offer

Hey everyone. Hope you're all well and safe. I just wanted to get people's opinions on a current AT&T Offer. For cyber week AT&T is offer a 64gb iPhone XS for just $1 a month after credits, no trade in required. The phone wouldn't be for me, but instead for my mother who isn't that tech savvy and who couldn't care less about having the latest and greatest. She currently has an iPhone 7 but I've been dying to get her a new phone for a while now. How do you guys feel about an iPhone XS in 2020 given that its literally $30 at the end of it all, and its for a person who doesn't care about the latest?

Considering that the XS is only 2 years old, I think you will score a good deal through AT&T, especially if your mother doesn't care about the latest tech. I would also think that Apple will continue to support the XS for a few more years at least.
