I originally signed up in August 2008, upgraded to the 3GS on launch last year, and now they're saying I qualify again.

How much will I pay out of pocket for a 32GB iPhone 4?

$299? More?

Thanks :D

If it says reduced price, thats not the full discount. It needs to say you are eligible for the full discount to get it for 299. Reduced price is 499 I believe.

Hate to burst your bubble, half of the AT&T customer sevice don't even know what an iPhone is. They are just reading a binder of scripts.

Just wait till next week. Proceed with the pre order, the online site will explain exactly what you will pay.

I was on my iPhone at the time I responded.

It will say this:

Anything else, and you don’t get it for $299.

Mine says this, but without the "iPhone" part.. it just says "As a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."

I know people on here hate to hear from "friends that work for AT&T" but my friend that works for AT&T told me that if you got a 3GS last summer...you'll pay the $399 and $499 price points...I mentioned the Radioshack trade in deal and she suggested this as the best route to get a cheap iPhone 4

check their twitter and website....apparently Radioshack is accepting 3G's for 100 and 3GS' for 200 towards the purchase of iPhone 4

And their preorders begin Tuesday and require a $50 deposit as well. I think this is a solid deal if they can guarantee an iPhone 4 on 6/24.

Why do people get so excited about these trade in deals? I just sold my 16GB 3GS on eBay for $450. After PayPal/eBay fees and shipping, I pocketed $400. You're telling me RadioShack is offering $100. You know what they're gonna do with your iPhone? Sell it for profit.

Really I called 2 times on different days and they said I can upgrade at the price at $199/$299 and i got the 3gs in Aug. when we came from verizon last year

Another thread said that only one line on an account qualifies for the upgrade. If that is true do the other lines at least qualify for the "reduced" price of $399/$499 or does only ONE line qualify for any sort of discount at all?

I just got done with a live chat with AT&T:

"Tiffiny Brunson: Hello Mr. X.

Tiffiny Brunson: I will be more than happy to assist, please allow me one

moment to access your account.

you: Hello!

Tiffiny Brunson: May I please have the last four digits of your Social

Security number to access your account?

you: X

Tiffiny Brunson: Thank you.

Tiffiny Brunson: How may I assist you?

you: I noticed that I am eligible to upgrade to the iPhone 4. I was

wondering what price I will have to pay for the 32 GB version. Will it be

the full discount or the early update discount?

Tiffiny Brunson: I am still reviewing your upgrade inquiry.

you: OK.

Tiffiny Brunson: You are able to get it at the lowest discount price of

$299.

you: OK Thanks!

Tiffiny Brunson: Did you have any further questions or concerns for me on

today?

you: No, thank you for your help.

Tiffiny Brunson: Thank you for selecting AT&T as your service provider. We

appreciate your business. It has been my pleasure assisting you today.

Please click the close button to end your session. A customer satisfaction

survey will automatically appear and we would appreciate your feedback."

I upgraded from original iPhone at 3GS launch and my bill is over $100.
