Apparently there's issues related to the SIM. People who cut their 4S's SIM and put it in the iPhone can successfully connect. Those of us with nano SIM's can't connect. AT&T is aware of the issue. Looks like someone dropped the ball somewhere.

mine works now. turned off my old phone. rebooted MCell and waited for a separate phone to connect. togged airplane mode and cellular data and boom, connected.
historically I got terrible service inside my condo with my iPhone 4, which is why I got the microcell tower, but when I got my iPhone 5 and it wouldn't connect, I honestly think it was getting a better signal with LTE than it is now that I got it connected...less dropped calls etc. anyone care to voice a thought on that?
