iPad mini At&t nano sim question

Guys,

I am visiting u.s. İn two days and i will be using at&t data services for my ipad. What i would like to know is , if anyone knows whether i can use the at&t nano sim that came with my iphone 5 in ipad for data only or should i need to purchase a new data only card?
