AT&T or Apple

I am excited because I get to order an iPhone 5s tonight! Didn't think it was going to happen, but it is. (Hooray, fanfare, confetti, etc.) However, is it better/quicker/less expensive to go through Apple or AT&T? I already have a phone line through AT&T and I am just upgrading from a 4s. Price is the same. My preference goes to purchasing through Apple due to it being simple and not as confusing as AT&T's. Last year, AT&T sent some rather confusing emails and appeared disorganized. Someone may have a different opinion, but that's my 2 cents.
