AT&T Paying in Full - SIM free or AT&T?

I plan to preorder the iPhone 8 tomorrow and plan to buy it unlocked for AT&T. Is it better to buy unlocked from AT&T or is it better to buy the SIM free version? I read that the iPhone only works on AT&T and T-Mobile when selecting the AT&T version vs the SIM free version.

If i choose the SIM free version, can i just put in the SIM card from my current iPhone 7 or will i have to get a new one from AT&T?

Not yet. Probably long time after launch will see. Especially with production issues

If you paying in full, you might as well just get the sim-free model. And yes you can just insert the sim from your current iPhone 7 and will work just fine.
