I'm an international student moving to the USA for some month.

I have a 1st Gen iPhone 2.0 unlocked and jailbreaked with Pwnage Tool 2.0.

I definitely want to buy a Prepaid-Card with Data-Option.

I just found the "Pick Your Plan Option" from At&T where to add an unlimited data-plan.

Will this work with my iPhone without problems? Or are there any better solutions to have prepaid including data-option.

Is it possible to buy the "Pick your plan" + "MediaNet Unlimited" without a cell-phone? So I just need the sim-card?

Best regards, grobi86

You can get the SIM without a phone. But they will ask fewer questions if you just get the Free Phone that comes with the plan (which you can also use if you want to go adventuring and don't want to risk damaging the iPhone, loosing it, or having it stolen.

Then again, if it is unlocked, make sure you look at all your GSM options. at&t and T-Mobile are nationwide, but some local providers, like Cincinnati Bell may offer better deals of Pay-as-you-Go systems with data than at&t.
