AT&T policies question

Not sure but looking for someone who knows for a fact. I want to add a line to my plan. I already have a phone. In Sept will that line be eligible for upgrade or does it wait 2 years?

If you add a line and buy a phone with a subsidy discount for it, it will be two years until you're eligilbe to buy another phone with the subsidy discount.

If you are a line and bring your own phone, your subsidy discount should be available for use whenever you want.
