AT&T Quickfire to be iPhone competition?

it seems so.
if you do a bit more searching, this phone is loaded with features.
a touch screen and full qwerty.

so my question is,
when the quickfire comes out,
should i get that or the iPhone 3G?
and do you think this will cause some competition?

The Quickfire even just in concept seems more aimed at the Sidekick. It really isn't aimed at the iPhone IMO.

+1 ^^^ Quickfire is competing with the Sidekick as stated in the article; and anything that UGLY can't compete with the gorgeous iPhone...

Ugh, I hope you are kidding about it being a competitor to the iPhone. There isn't much competition out there yet, G1 and Blackberry Storm (soon). You're better sticking with the iPhone if you are trying to decide between the quickfire (lame name as well) and the iPhone.

It looks like AT&T is making a grab for Sidekick users and the Sidekick is certainly not competing with the iPhone. This might be competition for....I dunno...something with the smarts of RAZR.
