Well, it's finally time for me to upgrade my mini, and AT&T isn't making it easy.

If I trade in my 13 mini, they're offering $350 in credits. Compared to $1000 with Boost, $800 with Tmobile, or $600–1099 with Verizon.

Even worse, if I were trading in a standard iPhone 13 instead of a mini, AT&T would credit the full $1099 for a 17 Pro.

So, even though Apple values the trade-in difference between an iPhone 13 and 13 mini at $30, AT&T apparently considers it a $749 difference. Feels like a real **** you.

I'm hoping this is an error with Apple's website, since AT&T.com doesn't have iPhone 17 pricing yet. But if this is real, it's going to be almost impossible not to switch carriers over this.

Welp, it’s confirmed: any AT&T trade-in of an iPhone 13 or newer qualifies for a full $1099 rebate EXCEPT the iPhone 13 mini.

Quite frustrating

I am curious about the fine print that says, Up to $830 off (iPhone 17 128GB for $0) after 36 monthly credits. Req’s trade-in of iPhone 13 or higher (excluding iPhone 13 mini) in any condition; or trade-in of eligible smartphone with min. trade-in value of $130 or more

…The iPhone 13 mini is indisputably worth more than $130 according to Apple, but it seems AT&T still isn’t honoring $830 off an iPhone 17 with the trade-in of a mini.

Not happy about this either... I was looking forward to an iPhone 17 Pro. Not sure if I'll just finance it via Apple Card monthly installments or what.

All the other carriers are offering so much more for the mini I’m wondering if it’s worth the hassle to switch (my whole family) over this.
