I just noticed what appears to be changed verbiage on the AT&T Mobile Share Advantage plans:

We may slow speeds to 128Kbps once you use your plan data. Learn more at att.com/broadbandinfo.

Emphasis above added by me.

I am almost positive that this used to say that they “will” slow speeds, not that they “may”.

Also, I’ve called the retentions department twice in the past week to see if they had any deals on plans with more data because my wife and I have been close to using our entire allotment plus any rollover we had for the past two months and I’m not crazy about the prospect of being throttled down to 128 Kbps. Both retentions agents advised me to stay with the plan I had and reevaluate our usage again in a few months, which seemed odd to me.

Does anyone have any recent experience with AT&T not consistently throttling you if you’ve gone over your high speed data allotment on a Mobile Share Advantage plan?

It’s always been “MAY” ... I used 55GB on a throttled plan this month ... it all has too do with network congestion ... if you live somewhere like Atlanta, then your screwed with a throttled plan ... if your in a less congested area, you are more than fine ...
