Decided to go to the Apple store to get my iPhone 5, using my wife's upgrade eligibility. After waiting in line 3.5 hrs, I asked an Apple employee if I would be able to upgrade without my wife with me, and he said my wife and her phone would need to be here to be able to upgrade her line. Undeterred, I decided he was (hopefully) wrong. Fortunately, he was. Apple had two AT&T reps in the store handling all the upgrade swaps. It was so smooth. Saved me a trip to an AT&T location to swap sims & numbers.
