seriously, just pay for the product/service if you can. if you can't afford the product/service, then purchase something more sensible to your budget.

Step 1: Plant money tree, if money tree seeds are unavailable proceed to step 2

Step 2: Realize that the iPhone/AT&T is not the only phone/provider in the world and get something else that is closer to your economic goals

These posts are starting to get annoying. Yes it sucks and could be better, but its not totally out of line with most other carriers. Either don't get one, get one and cough up the dough, pay full and unlock it, get an iPod Touch, get a regular iPod, or just don't get anything.

Is it pricey? Sure.. but it's all about what you're getting and whether or not you think it's worth it. If you don't think it is, don't get it.

Agreed!! These posts must stop. The service is optional, and you aren't paying more for the iPhone 3G service than any other smartphone through AT&T. We have known the prices were going up for awhile, so I wish people would stop posting the same tired threads about how shocked and angered they are.
