I was wondering if i bought the iphone5 on a different phone number than my own on my at&t account, could i then activate it for my phone number without any problems or getting a data plan locked onto the other number? I have a family plan with 4 phone numbers, 2 of which are eligible for an upgrade.
tl;dr can i use the upgrade from phone number "x" (with no data plan) and then activate the phone on phone number "y" (iphone4s phone number)
