I'm creating this thread to collect data about tethering. Please do not post any discussion in this thread (there are plenty of those already).

On the unlimited plan, haven't got the warning using MyWi. Though after the warnings started, I started tethering on my 2nd phone which has the 2 GB plan (switched from 200 MB plan). I haven't gotten the warning on that line either.

wtf how is no one getting the text? So many people that use way more data then me have received no warning. Tethering was by far the best feature of jailbreaking and now I cant do it.

it doesn't matter what you use...you'll get caught.

so if you want to keep your unlimited data don't freaking tether.

It's too early to tell but I think that using iTether to tether your iPad to the iPhone with TetherMe is undetectable to AT&T.

That's good because I bought the non 3G version of the iPad for that reason.

I guess my mom is tethering strong.. to this day.
I went in her room yesterday which is kinda far away form the router.. she frequently complains about a bad signal.

She was tethering instead because it was faster... She does this a lot I guess...

She is a low usage customer so we probably wont get flagged but idk, I have been tethering on and off and she has been tethering on and off for as long as I can remember with no notice.

I tether to phones computers anything.
She mostly tethers to her iPad.

doesn't seem consistent with what some people have said.

Oh, and shes using a very old version of MyWi, one of the ones without the block due to the fact she doesnt know how to update it.


I use PDAnet, commcenter hack(tetherme), and mywi with no backlash. something is up.
