Lost our cable yesterday as a result of a truck illegally going down our street and knocked down cable lines.

I was watching stuff on the Xfinity app via LTE and fell asleep and burned 3GB of data in one day with 29 days left til the next billing cycle.

With 29 days left I'll be throttled very soon.

Is there a 'walk around' besides trying to find WiFi?

Switch to a tiered data plan or switch carriers.

You should actually look into Cricket, they offer a 20GB data plan, use AT&T towers, but are much cheaper.

We have 4 line family plan and each line has unlimited and each line uses 6'ishGB/month average.

You're SOL. I was tired of being throttled at 5gb with my "unlimited" plan so I moved to family she. I now am paying less and begin every month with 20+ GB of unthrottled data.

At some point in 2015 they are only supposed to throttle if the network is actually congested. I'm not sure when it rolls out. In the meantime, do you have an iPad or other device that you can get a pre-paid T-Mobile or Spring SIM for tethering?

I'm keeping our 4 unlimited lines for now cause sometime this year AT&T is suppose to stop throttling at 5GB and implement network optimization. I have a pretty good grandfathered plan and cost with taxes and discount for 4 lines is $217. Unlimited data, mobile to ANY mobile, unlimited text

Not possible. It's done on the carriers side.
I'm also on att unlimited and don't mind the throttling.
Hope soon they stop it or only do it on congested sites.

I don't mind being throttled either. Normally I'm throttled when there's a week to go until next billing cycle.

When exactly is AT&T suppose to stop it?
