AT&T to Orange switch possible ?

I just moved from the U.S to live in Israel for a while, and Orange is the official iPhone carrier in Israel.

Does anyone know a way to make my AT&T 3GS iPhone work with an Orange sim?

I don't want to unlock it using Jailbreak + ultrasn0w.

I just thought since both AT&T and Orange are official iPhone carriers, that there would be a way to go from one to the other.

Anyone have experience with anything similar?

Jailbreak + Unlock is the only way.

AT&T does not have to or do they want to provide unlocks. It's something that needs to be addressed in the US.
