AT&T unlock replacement iPhone??

I'm about to pay the ETF for my AT&T contract because I'm moving abroad. My iphone was stolen and I bought a used iPhone from a friend which I have been using for a number of months. When I pay the ETF, will AT&T unlock the replacement used iPhone?

You need to ask them, they make the decisions, not us.

If the used iPhone is out of contract of your friend account then yes; if not no.

No, if you move to an area where AT&T or whoever is not available your contact can then be canceled.
