AT&T: When will they charge me the $36 activation fee?

So I recently ordered an iPhone 5. Are they going to bill be for the activation fee upon receipt of phone, activation, or immediately?

Reason I am asking is so I can plan when to call to request for the activation fee to be waived.

I believe it will show up on your next monthly billing cycle.
