AT&T Blackberry plans:

Unlimited data = $30

Unlimited data + Unlimited Txt = $50

Unlimited data + Unlimited Txt + Tethering = $60

So, there will be a $10 monthly charge once iPhone has tethering, right?

I'd assume they'd charge more than $10 because that's what AT&T likes to do when things involve the iPhone.

From the front page...

Meanwhile, an AT&T rep is said to have confirmed that Tethering is in the works for U.S. customers but that nothing could be announced at this time. Boy Genius also has heard that tethering is in the works but suggests it could be included into a $70/month Unlimited Data + Tethering plan.

So, it will be $20/mo for tethering.

The real question is: What data limit will they put on tethering? Probably to where you can't meaningfully use it. They already prohibit tethering use on other smartphones from downloading music, and you can blow through their limits on a computer in no time flat.

The $70 per month will most likely be the Unlimited Txt/MMS + data + tethering.

You'll end up saving $10 with this plan...

OR

To look at it another way it would only cost you $20 for tethering.

Boy Genius Report sys the following:

We’ve also just heard that tethering will be 100% locked out at launch, but AT&T’s in the process of putting together a $70/mo unlimited data and tethering plan. SMS and MMS will not be included in that plan, we’re told.

If true, that's $40 a month for tethering my friends. No thanks.

Edit: sorry, didn't see OP's reference.

For those currently carrying an iPhone and a mobile broadband card, $40 a month is a good deal if you can ditch the broadband card.

I saw that, but I don't lend much credence to what they say. Simple fact, the date plan is $30 per month. AT&T's tethering addon is $30 per month. That would not be equal to $70 per month.

Ultimately we all have to wait for AT&T to finally pull their head out of the arse and announce something.
