AT&T Wireless annouced their new EDGE service at Comdex and with it a new EDGE PC Card (Type II) providing nearly 300-500kbps on EDGE networks, and slower speeds on GSM networks.
The site lists compatibility with Win2000/XP Pro only, and only IBM, Dell, HP notebooks. (as if only these manufacturers have pixie dust in their PCMCIA slots?)
Phone calls to AT&T Wireless result in this aforelisted text being read over the phone. (not very helpful).
Anyone know if these cards would work with PowerBooks/OS X ?

I've seen Win-only restrictions on early data cards, but I've heard on other threads that they work and effectively show up in Network Preferences.
