Hi,

I'm going to Thailand for 3 weeks. There, I would like to be able to use functions that is not call- or data-related (wifi, GPS, etc.). I'm quite sure you could do this if you don't make calls and turn off data roaming. But I also wanted to suspend the phone as well (would save me $15/month).

I asked AT&T about the reduced rate suspend plan and I was told that if I were to do that, I wouldn't be able to use the phone at all. I'm not quite sure if that's true and I just want to hear some confirms on that.

Basically I want to use my iPhone like an iPod touch... surf the net when there's wifi available, etc. Would I still be able to do that if I go into reduced rate suspend plan?

Thanks a lot for your help!
