Can anyone sign up for a data plan on your iPad now? I tried many times earlier, but it said the connection to the server is timed out. Annoying...

I don't own a 3G iPad, but you might try a few things:

  1. Disconnect your iPad from your wireless network and then reconnect it
  2. Restart your wireless router
  3. Restart your iPad
  4. Restart your Cable/ADSL modem

Of course, if there is actually a problem with AT&T's servers, then I suppose you'll just have to wait :(

Thanks. I tried everything you suggested. It is AT&T's problem. Just tried to log in to my account and it said their account server is down for maintenance.

Yesterday my iPhone was showing "no service". My family had been trying to get in touch with me most of the day. When I called up customer service they told me they were having trouble with a couple of their towers. Back to normal today.
