At what time will the iPhone 3G be released?

Will the new phone be released at 6PM, just like last years model?

Last year when they announced the release date they mentioned "6PM". I hope they let us know soon, so I know when to take off work.

I'm sure it will be 6pm with the obligatory lineups the day of. I'm real curious as to how they handle the in-store activation and keeping the line moving and the customers moving. Such a shame to not be able to activate at home. I loved that aspect.

Yes, 6pm according to the internal email that AT&T sent to their stores today. Pretty much the same process as last time except you have to activate in store.

well it will be 9 for me (east coast).

If I'm not mistaken, no matter where you live, it'll be 6 PM. If I remember correctly, the east coast was the first to get the iPhone last summer when it launched at 6 PM.
