First I noticed ESPN, then HULU, and now my Netflix app are dimmed on the home screen. Operation is fine but the apps are dimmed compared to all the other apps on the screen.

Does this indicate something? Last used apps?

Or is it just a bug?

Bug. I've noticed this happening to apps that were updated via auto-update.

The apps work fine (as you noticed), but if you find this annoying, you need to restart the ATV to reset the icon to normal brightness.

I think this happens when there is an update to the app. This is a bug but it is only cosmetic.

I just reset the Apple TV. I hold down the MENU + TV Key for about 10 seconds until the light on the ATV blinks rapidly then let go. This can solve multiple problems.

This is good to know. Thank you.

I too noticed it with Netflix and Hulu. Seemed to correct itself once I restarted the unit but the above trick is nice!
