Hi guys,

I was playing COD4 for Mac and after about an hour or so, the graphics seem to go a bit weird. The framerates didn't seem to drop but just the graphics tend to 'break'. I really don't know how to explain it but its there.

My system:
2.66 Quad Mac Pro Nehalem
ATI 4890
RAID system

Anyone experience this before? Any possible solution?

Your card was overheating, if it didn't lock up it was probably the memory getting too hot. IMO the fan on the card does not adjust to temps properly

I thought so too but the fans are set to run 100% at full load. Its loud as hell but graphics still suck.

Just because your fans are running at 100 percent doesn't mean the card won't overheat. My 8800 had the fans spinning at maximum speed and it still died (until I baked it :)).
