For those of you lucky enough to have a nice ATi grfx card:

Check this out.
Take a look at the Mac SmartShader demos (bottom two links). Some very nice demos and screensavers!

Have fun :)

i saw that animusic demo on a PC ages ago, that ssoooo awesome!!

i just wish they had some screensaver for Mac... they sure have some good ones there.

oops... spoke too soon! they do have all the mac stuff in the Smartshader (Mac) section of course.:D

nice find, i never knew that they had all that stuff for Mac.

I don't think ATi's grfx cards are sub-par. No way!
The nVidia's are sub-par at this moment (not for the PC, though)

The 9800 is a superb card. Mac and PC.

The 9000 was a good buy, as is the 9600 for G5.

Woah... those are some seriously cool demos. Nice to see this 9800 actually getting a workout.

And themadchemist has a point about us Mac folks getting second-class-citizen status; although we do have the NVIDIA-destroying 9800, we only just got a 9800 with 256MB of RAM, we still don't have an XT available (is the one I want, mainly on account of the theoretically quieter fan--the BTO 9800 whines like nobody's business!), and the cards we do get have some of the fun TV features stripped out.

Oh, well, a 9800 is better than nothing.

The Mac cards are sub-par when placed next to their PC counterparts.

Ah... you mean compared to the XT-series.
That's true. But I am glad that the 9800 is here though.
It's too bad nVidia hasn't given us the fx 5900 for comparison and competition.
