I recently purchased a new Mac, I don't think the specs are necessary; here is my problem. Brand new out of the box, I plugged everything and powered it on, but nothing happened, no display. After trying several different monitors through the DVI port on the graphics card and getting nothing, I was pretty unhappy. After hours of trying different scenarios, I ended up using an analog to digital converter, and plugging it into that same digital port that "doesn't work." And it works, but the picture quality sucks. It can't be the monitor, because i tried atleast 6 different types, which all work on other machines, on all inputs.

Quick recap: Monitor to Mac using the DVI doesn't work, monitor to mac using an analog to digital converter to the same DVI port works. Same situation on several different monitors. What am I missing? Thanks.
