I have a Powermac G5 2.5 dual liquid cooled with the ATI radeon 9600 xt card in. Here is my problem. I can run dual screen with no issue. If I disconnect the monitor from the ADC port (ADC-->VGA adapter used), then the DVI monitor will not work alone. When I start the computer, the monitor turns on displays the Apple logo and the spinning circle/ball/whatever, but then the monitor goes black. I can log in but the screen stays black. I plug back the other monitor into the ADC port on the card, restart the computer and now both monitors work.
What is going on? Can anyone help me out here? I would like to run one monitor only (DVI), because the other monitor I need for another machine.
