I plan to purchase an ATI 3870 for my 2.66 MP. Can I move the original card to another PCI slot and run a third LCD with this old card?

Unless you're in a rush the 4850/4870 would be a much higher performance solution.

The 7300GT is fine for secondary monitors.

We have no details at this time, but it is a safe bet to assume they would be. The number of potential users is already small, cutting it in half by limiting it to 2008 owners only wouldn't be sensible. There should be no technical reason why they wouldn't work.
