Is there any way to check/test if my ati 1900 is completely dead?
I'm running it in a Intel 3ghz mac pro. And the display will not wake up, and is giving me the 3 quick blinks. I have thrown in a spare low end card and it works fine, but if I switch cable it back to ATI it goes asleep.
Just don't want to go and spend the $ on new one if I don't have to, any help is appreciated!

sounds bad to me
try selecting a bootcamp boot disk and then put the card in--see if it's an OS X issue

that'll show if it's software or hardware

I'd lean strong towards the card being fried. I think the 8800GT is cheaper now anyway, right?

You could always buy a cheap PC X1900 and flash it (google x1900 mac pro flash)

Good luck man
