so I am in Atlantic city to interview at some graduate school programs in Pennsylvannia. Well this town is nothing like Vegas.

Anyone been here and have something for me to do? I like gambling, but that's all there seems to be here. I need a break from it.

Stayng at the trump and have a car.

Thanks for the help.

How sad, checking MR on vacation.

We went to atlantic city about a year ago and stayed at the trump hotel.

Don't leave the hotel. You may get stabbed.

Well...it is N.J. Sorry Jersey people, I had to.

I don't know which trump you're staying at, Taj, Marina, Plaza. If you're at the Taj, I highly suggest going to the hamburger place on "Spice Road" and getting the Kobe burger. And go to the Marc Antony or whatever his name is restaurant. Get the seafood dish with pasta, scallops, shrimp, clams, crab, etc. It might have been the greatest seafood dish I've had in a while. Don't be afraid to ask the pit bosses for meal vouchers, they'll usually give them to you no problem. Hell, I had 100 dollar vouchers for 2 people...8 of em' in 2 days. Of course, I was winning and betting big, but the other players got em' too.

Sorry I'm no help with what else to do. I quickly learned after my first trip up there there you should just plan to gamble and not leave, it really isn't too great. Shopping is ok, if you do it during the day.

On a lighter note, I'm sure you could have a good night for 10 bucks from a lucky lady on the corner. There seems to be a plethora of them. Just joking of course...

At the marina. Thought downtown may be better. As in closer; nicer, able walk around.

Dead wrong.

This is as if vegas was owned by the cheapest people. Dirty, old and miserable. I am in ballys, going to Caesars nxt and will report.

Walking from one casino to the next is near impossible. I had to take some rattle trap here.

AC sucks. It is a miserable excuse for a place to gamble. Vegas is 10x better.

Take a cab to the Borgata. A couple of good bars with lively crowd. Also nice eats. Take a cab. In the morning, take a stroll along the boardwalk. Stop in the Apple store on the boardwalk and see if the new Mac books are in (not!).

Check out the shows and concerts.

Not much else to do in AC this time of year.

AC is way too greedy. No double deck blackjack, all tables are 8 deck shoes. No bars with game machines where you can play and drink for free. costs to park or valet.

Too greedy.

Although the boardwalk is nice. Will be back in the morning.

Borgata is best so far.

Allright, bumping this thread.

I was going to go to Vegas for the break as Monte Carlo offered me some free rooms, but I didn't want to deal with the flying. So I am going back to AC for 2 more nights at Caesars.

Anyone have anything they would do in AC? I now know its nothing like Vegas, but I was hoping for some hidden gems in this town.

So far we are going to Mortons for happy hour and hitting the pool club/bar up at Harrahs.

Thanks for the advice.

Go enjoy the beach/sea air for a little bit. You can't do that in Vegas.

Other than that, Atlantic City is pretty much a total loss. I do like seeing the streets that I learned about in Monopoly though, so that's cool.

Have fun and be careful.
