ATnT stores not taking check/debit cards or cash for iPhone 4's?

Anybody been able to order one from ATnT with a check/debit card or cash?


Mine says the can't accept anything other than a "real" credit card to order one for me. Is this the standard operating procedure everywhere or what?

The debit/credit payments should be fine except for cash.

I ran into the same problem the day preorders started. They told me that the phones were backordered and that a debit card would not allow them to freeze funds long enough. The lady suggested I get a credit card or borrow one from a friend I went home and ended up ordering through the apple website.
