ATT AW3 with LTE - Will it work in Japan?

Hey,

So I currently have ATT but I will be cancelling the contract in february because I'm moving to Japan.

If I buy and activate the AW3 on ATT, will it work with Japanese carriers like SoftBank?

Short answer No.

There are different models between US and Japan. You can check this page to see the different LTE/UTMS bands for AT&T vs Softbank and where there is some limited band overlap.
